Courtesy of Autonet Mobile, this new dealer-installed Wi-Fi system enables one-touch Internet access inside your vehicle. It covers a radius of up to 150 feet around the vehicle besides, you can couple it up with your laptop or mobile Wi-Fi device. Autonet Mobile is the world’s first Internet access provider designed only for vehicles.
“Chevrolet Wi-Fi” powered by Autonet Mobile has a specialized add-on feature available with seven new Chevrolet models namely- Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Express.
According to a top Industry source, “Chevrolet Wi-Fi” by Autonet Mobile enhances your daily commuting, family vacations and works, all the while keeping you updated with the latest happenings from around the world via its Net-connect facility.
A recent survey from JiWire shows that 8% of all Wi-Fi users login while they are either traveling on subways, ferries or on cruise ships. According to JiWire, the total number of public Wi-Fi users jumped to 18 % in the last seven months.
Chevrolet Wi-Fi is exclusively designed for the commuters or drivers when the vehicle is parked. This new system requires no extra software. The system can achieve a maximum speed of 1.5 mbps. It employs a “TRU Technology” to maintain optimum Internet connection over a 3G network while the vehicle is still in motion. In addition, the new Wi-Fi device facilitates uninterrupted video streaming and many more added features at no extra cost.
