Now-a-days PCs and data fall prey to many online frauds and hackers. They can steal your valuable data, hack your password and do anything. You simply can not predict what they are capable of and what they are not. so it's necessary to protect your PC from these perils. I have voyaged through the web, have done some good research and here is the fruit of that, right in front of you, my dear readers.
1. You need to install a good antivirus program and ensure a regular updating of the same. If you have internet at your home, you are most likely to find your anti-virus program continually updating itself as it is the embedded feature for most of the anti-virus programs these days. And for the lesser number of antivirus programs that need a manual update, you should check it after regular interval.
2. You know one thing; these innocent looking attachments that come paired with many mails that you receive everyday might be full of malicious content. So next time you open an e-mail and find an attachment with it, try not to open them without being utterly sure about the inner content.
3. Avoid phishing schemes and other mails where your personal information is requested.
4. Update your system after regular intervals. In Windows and Mac OS you will avail the Automatic Updates as an innate feature. But you have to download or install the features yourself. The hackers take the chance of a new OS or system pretty often and you should keep a constant observation on that matter. So the sooner you turn on an automatic update, the better it is.
5. Always get an intense perception about the websites that you are visiting. It’s better if you don’t peep into porn websites and other suspicious websites. Always gather information aplenty about the websites that you visit. If possible, get a good Parental Control software to protect your PC from such webpages. A Parental control software generally blocks the distrustful content on the web. There are various Parental Control programs out there. If you want me to name one, I would go for Net Nanny Parental Control Software.
