New Tablet PC rolls out with Windows 7


Good news for you, the next generation Tablet PC has just arrived to make your Christmas shopping list even more extended. Unveiled as the “X9”, a new generation Tablet PC from” Cool Rui” equipped with Windows7 Tablet PC Edition, a recent offering from the Microsoft labs.

Unlike earlier versions of Tablet PCs, the new “X9” boasts a 10.1" touchscreen and runs on Windows 7 OS. The X9's screen claims to be scratch, dust as well as fire resistant. It supports 1024 x 600-pixel resolution while running with an Atom 270 processor. The Tablet PC comes with 1GB RAM together with a 160 GB Hard Disk Drive.

Besides, “X9”also contains 3USB slots and sports a card reader as well. This new gadget is fully supported by 3G technology and guess what, the Tablet PC also contain a SIM slot. To blow things off, the X9 will enable you to click pictures through its built-in 1.3 MP Camera.

Most Tablet PCs available till date runs on Windows Tablet PC Edition, a superset of Windows XP professional pack. However, this latest addition to the Tablet PC market is equipped with Windows 7 compatibility. The difference between this new edition and earlier versions of the Tablet PCs include a new “Tablet PC Input Panel”, which utilizes a technology called “Alternative Text Input.”

The other features of this Tablet PC compatible to Windows7 OS includes- a tablet digitizer, shortcut key buttons for better navigation control, scrolling keys and a single-user compatible application button for security. The new”X9” also uses multi-touch functions, a key feature already available on Home Vista Edition.

With the advent of Windows 7, the “Tablet Functionality” continues to grow.
The new “X9” operable on Windows 7 platform also includes a “Math Input Panel”, a technology capable of recognizing handwritten mathematical formulas and expressions.

Overall, this new Tablet PC equipped with Windows 7 is sure to make life easier for you. The new “X9” is ready to set new standards for Tablet PC users and is expected to create a buzz in the cyber circuit.

  1. It's certainly going to help me be even more responsive in meetings, being able to lookup and supply information live in response to. The screen was somewhat small to me but I thought the function would come in handy and alleviate some of the weight while traveling and/or holding the tablet.
