King of Pop, Still On Top


King of Pop is no more but we are still searching for him, not around us, nor on stage, nor in his concerts but on the wide world of Internet. We are still searching for him even after his death. Economic crisis or H1NI pandemic that is increasing its grip on our lives has lesser impact on people than Michael Jackson. He hits on the top of the list of Face book, Twitter and Google.

When Google, AOL and Yahoo released their lists of top search terms, they revealed that Michael Jackson, the cultural icon’s death on June 25 captured the entire world’s attention and topped the lists of all three search sites. Jackson’s death generated an outpouring grief around the world which led to major Internet traffic. The musical albums also sold like hotcakes during that time.

Due to the sudden death of Michael Jackson, Internet surfers poured into these sites for exploring the life of their icon. As million of fans said goodbye to their King of Pop, their enthusiasm to pay homage to their favorite star grew. One of the remarkable facts is that any news related to Michael Jackson’s life figured in the top search list. The craze and adulation for the greatest pop legend is still at large.

On Google’s list, Michael Jackson was followed by a popular social networking site on Internet. The top 10 Google search terms included Windows 7 also. Michael Jackson is no more but his popularity and our love for him will never die. He will always remain in our hearts forever and the scintillating beats will always take us back to the golden days of moonwalk.
